Where do these startups come from?
From each program's own public list. Y Combinator's comes from its public company directory (ycombinator.com/companies), read through the community-maintained yc-oss mirror, every Monday. The other accelerators' portfolios and cohort pages are read monthly. A company that went through two programs is one company with both. Not affiliated with any program.
Which accelerators are included?
YC, Techstars, a16z speedrun, Antler, Entrepreneur First, 500 Global, South Park Commons, Neo, AI Grant, Alchemist, Plug and Play, Sequoia Arc, HF0, PearX, Conviction Embed, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups, AWS, NVIDIA Inception, Station F and more. The Programs page lists every one with its next deadline, next batch and companies. Companies are read where a program publishes a public list its terms allow; Techstars' terms do not, so its dates are shown but its companies are not read.
When is the next accelerator deadline?
The Next deadlines row on the home page and the Programs calendar list every published application deadline, soonest first, with a ring that fills as the date nears. A date marked est. is worked out from the program's past cadence and is replaced when the program publishes the real one.
How are companies ranked?
By Rising: a signal score out of 100 from public facts (funding raised after the program, open source stars, team size, open roles, trending mentions, launches, outcomes and, lightly, the program), weighted toward recent cohorts. The chips on each row say why. The Method page has the formula. It is not investment advice.
How is a company counted as AI, data or developer tools?
From YC's own tags and industry first (Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Developer Tools, Data Engineering, Analytics and similar). Companies YC has not tagged yet are read from their one-liner and description, and new ones may be checked by a model; those show an Unverified badge until reviewed. A company can be in more than one.
What share of recent YC batches is AI?
The batch river on the YC batches page shows the share of each batch tagged or described as AI. It was under 10% in YC's first decade and is above 80% in the latest batches.
What do the batch codes mean?
W is Winter, X is Spring, S is Summer and F is Fall, followed by the year: W26 is Winter 2026. YC now runs four batches a year.
What does Active, Acquired, Public or Inactive mean?
It is YC's own label for each company (or the program's, where its page says it). Inactive means the company is listed as no longer operating.
