About Ontem
Ontem is building the AI-first platform for commercial services businesses to bill, collect, and access financing. Today, finance teams piece together contracts, proof of work, and customer requirements across disconnected systems just to submit a bill, then chase approvals and payment by hand. Ontem connects those systems and runs that work end to end, from billing through collection, improving cash flow. In the process it captures proprietary data on what actually gets invoices paid — data it plans to use to underwrite financing against receivables. Penn classmates Jaime Barrenechea and Jacob Chimerine founded the company; their experience spans Meta, BCG, and Monashees. Since starting the company 6 weeks ago Ontem signed $25K in ARR and has generated over $1M in sales pipeline. The company will reach $60M in annualized transaction volume by the end of October.
